MOVING TIPS FOR ANYONE!

  • Always plan ahead.
  • Hire well-qualified movers.
  • Start by making a list of all items.
  • Set two boxes per room to be labeled “open first.”
  • Make sure to have plenty of supplies (boxes, tape, etc.).
  • Make sure you have everything packed and ready to be transferred.
  • Make sure the boxes are organized (clothes in one, electronics in another, etc.).
  • Make a checklist for the contents of each box so you know what’s in each one.
  • Keep important papers with you (birth certificates, bank records, and school records).
  • Put the essential boxes in the truck last so they can be quickly accessed when you reach your new location.
